The 96th Annual Dinner held in the Oldfield Hall at King Charles 1 School
As usual there was an excellent turn-out for the Association's flag-ship event of the year, the Annual Dinner.
After the traditional roast beef, seen here with Association Vice-President Keith Bowkett in the foreground, newly-elected Association President David Slater regaled members and guests with his account of the heavy responsibilities that rest on the shoulders of the Association President. Typically among the executive decisions required of the President is to single-handedly choose the sweet course for the Annual Dinner, whilst others, in the true spirit of democracy, out-voted him regarding the main course!
His audience hung on his every word ...
... and couldn't wait for him to sit down so that the serious socialising could begin ...
Here, a stalwart Dinner regular, Naomi Bishop, daughter of past-President Tony Bishop, catches up with Kevin Smith, one of her contemporaries at the School and currently President of the Hartlebury Old Elizabethans (he actually attended both Schools and is therefore eligible for membership of both Associations!)
And finally, the future joins the present ...
... School Head-Girl Cali Taylor and Head-Boy David Wardle with Association President David Slater and School Headmaster Tim Gulliver.
