The 97th Annual Dinner took place on Saturday 18th November from 6:30 pm for 7:30 pm until 11:30 in the Oldfield Hall, King Charles I School, hosted by President Keith Bowkett.
As usual, the Oldfield Hall is transformed into an attractive Annual Dinner location. One of the new information system's plasma screens can be seen high on the wall and just right of centre of the picture. Some 105 members and guests sat down to a meal of winter vegetable soup; roast topside of beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast and boiled potatoes, and carrots, cauliflower and peas; deep-filled apple pie with cream; and cheese and biscuits with celery and grapes. And, of course, a fine selection of French, Chilean, Californian and Australian wines and/or Banks's Bitter to accompany it all! Hardly room for the coffee and mints after all that lot!
