The annual Summer Event, this year a barbecue, took place on Saturday 21st June from 6:30 pm for 7 pm in the Rose Garden, King Charles I School, hosted by President Peter Vaughan.
We came back to the Rose Garden at the School for the first time in many years, and the whole event was considered to be a great success.
The sky was clear and the weather was good.
There was a good turn-out and the Rose Garden looked perfect.
The calm conditions made sure that the chefs were barbecued as well as the food - and the food comprised the traditional Old Carolians fare of pork chops, chicken breasts, burgers and two varieties of sausage, plus plenty of healthy salads. And, of course, a well stocked bar was run by Ken Garbett.
We were pleased to see a good turn-out of the younger generation with Duncan Groves and friends.
All in all, a very satisfactory evening!
