With much regret, we must report that Dr James Robinson, an Honorary Life Member of the Association, died early in November aged 95.

In his lifetime, James Robinson made an outstanding contribution to the scientific community worldwide as recognised by numerous awards, not least his Doctorate of Science in 1978 from the University of Birmingham. The following obituary chronicles his many achievements, which I am sure will be of special interest to members of our Association.
