It is with great sadness that we report the terribly sad news that Jim Hitchen, of the class of 1966, died on 1st February.

A message from Jim's family
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Jim's passing on 1st February 2024. following the onset of pneumonia while in hospital, after the recent deterioration of his prostate cancer.
We shall miss him terribly, but take comfort from knowing that he is no longer suffering. For our family, he was the strongest and most loving husband, father, grandfather and brother - forever in our hearts.
As Jim has requested a simple, unattended, direct cremation, there will be no formal funeral. We shall remember and celebrate his life in our own time.
